Just like you shouldn’t succumb to the too-good-to-be-true promise of “a lemon water a day will boost your metabolism” and other such wellness myths, you shouldn’t believe everything you hear in the fitness sphere either. Lead with skepticism before you do your own research or talk to experts (and certified experts at that). Not everything’s black and white, and not everything you read online is true. We’ve reported on fitness myths in the past, but this time around we wanted to do more digging, especially on myths that have persisted through the decade. POPSUGAR spoke to a handful of trainers and fitness experts on what they thought were the most common fitness myths in the last 10 years.
